Company/ Role Research

Written below, I decided to do some research into what kind of role I would be interested in doing in the industry as well as different companies that I've been looking into as a Gameplay Animator as my target audience is teen and youth (17 and above).

Role Research

What does a games animator need?

​

*An understanding of gameplay - how movement appears when being played.

​

*Have knowledge of game engines - have the understanding to create an animation that works within a game engine.

​

*Organisation skills

​

*Good communication skills

​

What type of software is used?

​

*3D Animation software such as Maya, Motion builder,3Ds Max, Blender and etc.

​

*Game engine software such as; Unity, Unreal Engine

​

*Programming languages such as C++, Python
