Personality Walk Exercise

Progress:

For the first part of the animation shown below, my main focus was to get the keyframes of the lower half of the body in the right places and try to match up the feet with the reference feet.

The main problem I had to face while animating the personality walk was the fact that I would usually get confused on which leg would go first which would require me to constantly rewind the footage to see which foot goes first and try to remember the pattern of the footwork.

What helped me while I was animating the personality walk was the fact that I had already marked the highest and lowest parts of my head while doing the walk cycle because if I did not mark those parts of my head in the reference video, I would not have been able to animate the video correctly and the animation would make the rig model very stiff.

While finishing the personality walk cycle which is shown below I had to try and replicate the movement of the movement and the spacing between each step because of the fact that my video reference was too short.

Update: 4th February

With the walk cycle above I received some feedback which I have taken on and I'm currently working on, the feedback I received constantly consists of working on the upper body and also received a piece of advise which made me look at animating from this point forward in a different light which was that I don't have to always make the animation identical to the reference for the animation to be considered 'perfect', as I always thought that copying a reference is the best way to make something realistic as it is a human being that is in the reference.
